The two-day World Missions Conference (WMC), held from 16th to 17th June 2025 at Bethany Milan, left a lasting impact on all who witnessed it.

The first day of the WMC opened with the Parade of Nations, where Bethany members creatively represented different countries through traditional costumes, flags, and native greetings. The parade conveyed one central message: to pray for each nation to be reached by the Gospel, embodying the promise of our Lord in Acts 1:8 — “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”

The WMC continued with the recognition of our esteemed visitors and guests: Pastor Paul Chappell and wife Terrie Chappell, Pastor Kent Jesalva and wife Ruth Jesalva, Pastor Gerry Nable, Pastor Anjjelo San Buenaventura, Pastor Joey Tacon, Pastor Ronel Corsiga and wife Gladys Corsiga, Pastor Peter Ayon, delegates from the outreaches in Malta, Norway, Poland, Rome, and Switzerland, beloved brethren from Paris, as well as other visitors and guests.

The event was also joyfully joined by Bethany Milan’s co-laborers and missionary partners in Christ through remote participation. Among them were missionaries: A. Delalamon (Cambodia), R. Cabasan (Malawi, Africa), V. Eppa (India), M. Evasco (Japan), B. Arizabal (Norway), B. Comar (India), P. De Jesus (Bolivia), N.J. Cartoneros (Japan), J. Tingson (Tanzania), A. Pizzaro (Orion, Bataan, Philippines), J. Macasling (Singapore–Malaysia border), J. Arania (Nepal), D. Altura (India), N. Mendoza (Australia), L.H. Dela Cruz (Cambodia), A. Addai (Ghana), L. Delos Reyes (Sierra Leone), J. Congson (Sierra Leone), N. Dig (Occidental Mindoro, Philippines), A. Arevalo (UAE), R. Zacal (Argentina), R. Clavio (Armenia), J. Pastrana (Switzerland), J. Paz (India), A. Cleofe (Batangas, Philippines), A. Malapitan (Bulacan, Philippines), D. Obania (Guatemala), E. Bancale (Ethiopia), B. Reposar (Dasmariñas, Philippines), C. Villarta (Sierra Leone), D. and J. Bolton (USA), J. Bernejo (UAE), C. Barrientos (Mozambique), J. Harder (cxx), and G. Magtangob (India).

The heart of the WMC was not merely the gathering itself, but the message it carried—rekindling a burden in some and igniting a fire in others. At its core, the conference emphasized the believer’s love and support for missions, rooted in the love and care of God for the lost.

Pastor Kent Jesalva (Bible Baptist Church Katipunan) opened the conference with a message from 1 Peter 2:6–10, reminding us that we are a chosen generation called out of darkness into His marvellous light. We are God’s people, saved to fulfill His mission. It was a powerful challenge for every believer to fully commit to the Great Commission.

Pastor Paul Chappell (Lancaster Baptist Church) followed with a message on New Testament missions, drawn from Acts 13. He shared how missionaries were sent out according to biblical accounts. As ambassadors of Christ, we are called to see the goodness and grace of God in our journey and to boldly preach the Gospel with love. Without love, there is no true compassion for lost souls. We were reminded that our support for missions should not come from our leftovers but from our best.

Pastor Gerry Nable (Bethany Baptist Church Makati), the last speaker of the day, emphasized the need to step out in faith for the advancement of God’s kingdom. From Luke 5:1–11, he reminded us that our Christian life should be marked by trust and obedience to God’s promises—not guided by what is comfortable or visible, but by eternal truth. Even if it means leaving our comfort zones and stepping into the unknown, we are saved to serve; and the greatest among us are those who serve.

The first day of the WMC was humbling and refreshing, filled with clear and convicting messages from the Word of God.
