Finding a sound church in Central Europe doesn’t always come easy. But for one who draws her strength from the Lord, surrender is never an option.
Maria Teresa Jundt—whom we fondly call Sis. Thess—was first connected to Bethany Milan as early as 2015, during a mission survey trip where she met Pastor Omar for the first time. However, after that meeting, they lost contact for a season. By God’s providence, many years later, Sis. Thess came across Bethany Milan again through one of its social media platforms. Technology became the means by which the Lord rekindled a connection that had begun years earlier.
In December 2022, during Bethany Milan’s Thanksgiving, Sis. Thess and Pastor Omar reconnected in person. It was then that the Lord clearly confirmed the work at hand. Thess discovered that Bethany Milan was the fruit of a mission work sent out by her home church, Bethany Makati—where she had served faithfully under the late Pastor Dario Lumba.
On 22nd September 2023, Switzerland was officially recognised as an outreach ministry under Bethany Milan.
At first glance, it may seem that Sis. Thess is a solitary laborer, serving alone in the field. But the true Christian understands that no servant of God ever walks alone. She carries this truth firmly in her heart:
Sis. Thess conducts regular soulwinning efforts in the city of Basel. By God’s grace, the outreach is also beginning to reach Freiburg, Switzerland.
