The outreach in Rome began almost in parallel with Malta, through the invitation of Pastor Ed Pamintuan of Bethany Makati, Philippines. He invited Sis. Antonia Padrique-Malapitan and Sis. Michelle Cadiz to attend the 2013 Missions Emphasis and 1st Mission Anniversary of Bethany Milan.
That same event—where Pastor Ed served as a speaker—became a clear avenue of the Lord’s anointing and divine plan to reach His people in Central Italy. During the gathering, Sis. Antonia and Sis. Michelle met Pastor Omar, his wife Sis. Agnes Monte, and the entire Bethany Milan brethren. From that point onward, Pastor Omar began guiding them in their spiritual lives—particularly in their daily walk with Christ—as they carried out the Great Commission in a nation that is often seen as spiritually resistant, yet never unreachable by the Word of God.
Since 2013, there had been multiple visits to Rome over the years—intentional efforts to minister, encourage, and follow up. These years of faithful sowing would eventually bear fruit.
The Rome brethren held their first Bible study on 26th November 2022, at the residence of Sis. Michelle. The following day, 27th November 2022, Rome was officially recognised as an outreach.
