At Bethany Baptist Church, the next generation is not overlooked—they are our burden, our prayer, and our preparation. Little Bethanytes is the ministry devoted to the spiritual care and formation of our children. We believe that no child is too young to begin learning about God. It’s both a joy and a responsibility for us to help them take those first steps of faith—guiding them early through the simple, foundational truths of Scripture.
Each week, the children are taught by four devoted Sunday School teachers who not only teach, but also prepare lessons specifically written for them—lessons that meet both their spiritual needs and their stage of growth. Every session begins with attendance and cheerful singing, followed by a Bible lesson carefully taught at their level. Each class ends with fun, purposeful activities that help the children remember what they’ve learned.
They meet in their own classroom—a humble space thoughtfully prepared for them, where they can learn, listen, and grow in an atmosphere that is welcoming, joyful, and focused. After every Sunday class, lunch is served, with food portions thoughtfully prepared according to their age and needs.
Beyond Sundays, the children also participate in a simultaneous prayer meeting during our midweek services, helping them learn the value of prayer and consistent worship even at a young age.
As Jesus said, “Suffer the little children to come unto me,” we take that command to heart—welcoming them, teaching them, and training them in the way they should go, so that they may walk with the Lord all their days.
