The Bethany Young People (BYP) ministry exists to equip and prepare the next generation to walk in truth, stand with conviction, and live with integrity. The ministry serves both the Junior BYP—still in their formal school years—and the Senior BYP, comprising those moving into early adulthood.
At Bethany, we discover that young people need more than inspiration—they need direction. The church is not only concerned about their spiritual lives, but also deeply invested in their academic and personal development. To achieve this, the BYP ministry includes the services of an academic counsellor, helping students develop discipline, stewardship, and excellence in their academic lives.
We recognize that the school environment is more than a place of education—it is a training ground for integrity. Learning to be faithful in academics teaches responsibility, honesty, and diligence—traits essential to Christian character. Through BYP, we encourage our young people to glorify God not only in the church but also in their schools, their home, and wherever the Lord places them. Perfection is not the goal, but Christ-likeness in service, in integrity, and in godly testimony.
In addition to their growth and training, these young people take on active roles within the church. At their young age, they are already exposed to the face of missions. They are also active in serving in the ministry through various responsibilities tailored to their gifts and abilities. Whether in music, teaching, outreach, media, or service roles, they contribute meaningfully to the life and work of the church.
BYP is a place where young lives are challenged, nurtured, and shaped for service—not just for the future, but for today.
